Deceptively Simple
I feel the need to gush. I mean, we’ve all seen the long-sleeved, black dress done wrong- it’s so easy to do. In the flash of wrong jewelry, in a moment of bad shoe judgment- the dress is dowdy, you’re wearing funeral garb or you are just a plain old yawn. But here, at the Hollywood Reporter Philantropist of the Year Award Reception in LA, Kate Beckinsale has it all right. The makeup, the chic ponytail, the understated jewelry, the Ferragamo clutch and the...dress. I can't think of a single nun, witch, or pilgrim reference for this; it's simply sexy.
Making It My Own
While I would wear Beckinsale’s ensemble to just about anything, I need something just a tad more light-catching for the Bellwether dance floor disco ball. This Emilio Pucci masterpiece should do the trick.
