Thursday night, while some were attending the premier of Sex and the City 2, other members of the Subterfuge Set converged upon Masins Fine Furnishings and Interior Design for DIFFA Glam- A Cocktail Party and auction to benefit Design Industries Foundation Fighting Aids. As cocktails flowed, many of the party goers enjoyed the festive atmosphere while gazing upon the amazing furniture Masins has to offer. The who's who in attendance included Philip Sternola of Sternola-Brown Interiors, who looked fabulous in classic black and white, and was there to promote Providence O' Christmas Trees. Philip is active in the non- profit scene and makes the time to be at many fundraising functions. He must get his spirit of volunteerism from his mother, Dolores Traina-Sternola, who just recieved The President's Call to Sevice Award for her many years as a volunteer. Congratulations Dolores, we are so proud of you here at Subterfuge!
Present at the event was socialite JJ McKay, also known for his work in the non profit sector, and is currently on the board for Mary's Place. Living up to his reputation, JJ helped raise a record amount of money for the organization at a recent luncheon. He worked the crowd with his charm and flashy style, the way only JJ with his inexhaustable energy, knows how. Among our favorite people pictured here with JJ, a generous and very cool Liza Ragan, owner of Choice Linens who was seen chatting with naughty boys Brian Pellham from adult game company Kheper Games, and his partner real estate agent Chris Bierrum of Coldwell Banker . Also in attendance were clothing store owner, Angela Rayborn Miller, architect and foodie, John Akamatsu, and Jill Mogen of Crosscut.com among other notables from around the scene. It was a great party, and the money raised that night was for a cause near and dear to our hearts.
