Madonna at the Cinema Society at the Museum of Modern Art on Sunday, December 6th.

Let’s talk coats. Currently, I feel the need to wear one, but for those of you who wear t-shirts year round and flip flops in the snow, hang on- a gorgeous guy in a tux is just a couple paragraphs away.

Evening

Madonna doesn’t mess around- we’ve known this since she first burst onto the scene in the 80s. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that she wore a Ferragamo  murmasky fur coat with a fox collar- in a deep blue, of course, to the screening of Tom Ford’s, “A Single Man”. Shock and awe baby, shock and awe.

Daytime

I’ve never understood the women who wear pink velour jumpsuits on an airplane. For one thing, no matter what one wears, one will inevitably be uncomfortable; it just makes sense to look as good as you can manage. For another thing, you never know who your seatmate will be, and I for one do not want to meet a suave Parisian wearing a pink velour jumpsuit.  Penelope Cruz understands this- note that while her look is extremely simple it is also cool, and not in a Beverly Hills housewife kind of way (i.e., pink jumpsuit).  You too can escape the sea of sweats at the airport with a pair of skinny jeans, boots, a chunky sweater and a great coat. Some Holly Golightly-esque glasses wouldn’t hurt either.

Last but not least, I promised a man in a tux. Adrian Grenier is perfect for the part in his velvet Ferragamo tuxedo.
